Baseball Home vs. Delta College

The Jayhawk Baseball team split a doubleheader at home with Delta College winning the first game 4-1 but dropping game 2 by a score of 6-4.

In the opener Andrew Dukesherer (Grandville) pitched a gem, working 7 innings and only giving up 1 run on 2 hits with 10 strikeouts. MCC scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd and added 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th. Tanner Tresemer (Zeeland), Cole Olson (Central Montcalm, Luke Linder (Traverse City Central) and Abdiel Gonzalez (Lake Orion) all had a hit for the Jayhawks.

In game 2 MCC gave up 6 runs in a rough 4th inning and the comeback bid fell just short in the 7th. Nate Lovell (Tri-County) was a perfect 2-2 at the plate and Kenton Vander Wal (West MI Aviation Academy) was 3-4.
