Orlando, FL – The Delta College women's softball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday as they kicked off the 2016 season in Orlando, Florida by taking on a couple of teams from back home.
The second game of the day saw Kalamazoo Valley Community College jump out to 6-0 lead after the first inning before the Delta bats came to life. The Pioneers plated five runs in the second to get back in the game and continued to battle every inning before eventually losing, 11-8.
Tchorzynski led the offense in the loss, collecting two hits including a homerun to go along with two RBI. Wozniak added three RBI's offensively while Katlyn Blake took the loss on the mound after allowing four earned runs in the first three innings.
The Pioneers play a double-header tomorrow, facing Region XII opponent Owens before taking on Mercyhurst Northeast.
