Sylvania, OH - Women's soccer coach Jackie Donovan has announced that Destiny Wallace has signed a letter of intent to transfer to Lourdes University to play for the Gray Wolves beginning in the fall of 2015.
Wallace, a goalkeeper from Saginaw, Mich., has played at Delta College each of the past two seasons. A two-time Honorable Mention All-Michigan Community College Athletic Association selection, she also earned Second Team All-Region 12 accolades for the Pioneers. In 2013, Wallace was named to the Region XII All-Tournament Team as well.
"Destiny is a great addition to our goalkeeping unit," Donovan said. "Her athleticism, quickness, and the ability to be comfortable and distribute the ball when it is at her feet will give us versatility as a team when she is in net."
As a sophomore Wallace sported a 1.69 goals against average in 17 starts while registering four shutouts. During her freshman campaign, she notched a 1.38 goals against average in 17 appearances, including eight shutouts. She made a career-high 17 saves as a freshman against Muskegon Community College.
A product of Heritage High School, Wallace earned First Team All-Saginaw Valley League honors for the Hawks. She also earned First Team All-District honors during her prep career.
Wallace played her club soccer for Vardar where her team was ranked number one in the state of Michigan. Her team advanced to the state semifinals in 2012.
