Delta Soccer Signs Bourcier to National Letter of Intent
University Center, MI – Delta College Women's Soccer head coach Paul Stenglein is pleased to announce the signing of Ali Bourcier to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Pioneers in the 2015 season. Bourcier hails from Linwood, Michigan and is currently a senior at Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central.
"I chose Delta because it seems like a family and the soccer team has significant accomplishments as well as a solid record behind them," said Bourcier. "I also chose it because the team seemed like a group of sisters - and I want to be a part of that!"
Bourcier is a National Honor Society member at Nouvel where she was named All District, All Region and All State during both her sophomore and junior campaigns. Aside from playing on her high school team, she has also played several years of travel soccer. She is also involved in outreach activities, twice traveling to Africa on mission trips. She will pursue a degree in social work.
"Ali is a very athletic and strong keeper," said Stenglein. "As I watched her perform both in high school and travel soccer, I realized that she has a tremendous amount of potential to be a great college keeper. Her height and strength will aid her because she will need to battle opponents in the 18 yard box."
"As I spent more time with Ali, I realized that she is a very caring person that has a heart for others. This attitude and trait will be great for our team, and it will carry her far in her life journey. We are thrilled to have her as part of our 2015 team, and I am excited to start working with her, and integrating her into the team."
