Delta Wins MCCAA State Soccer Championship

Delta College Women's soccer team finished the season with 10 straight wins when they defeated Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan on Wednesday, October 10th by a score of 1-0. The victory clinched the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association) State Championship. The game was decided four minutes into overtime when Casey Allessie intercepted a pass and scored. Kalyn Breckenridge, Delta's goal keeper, recorded the shutout for the Pioneers. This is the second one goal victory by the Pioneers over the Ocelots this season. Delta, ranked number 3 by the NJCAA, will travel to Cincinnati State in Columbus, Ohio this Saturday to complete their regular season. The Pioneers defeated Cincinnati earlier in the year by a 10-1 score.
