Delta Women's Soccer wins Midwest District Championship
Tournament Outcome:
#1 Delta College had a successful weekend in Rochester MN, with a 7-0 win over host #8 Rochester in the semifinal game. They played #4 Joliet in the final game and were victorious with an 8-0 win. This championship qualifies the Pioneers for their seventh straight appearance in the National Tournament.
Standout Players of the Tournament:
Kaylee Shattuck had four goals and one assist for the tournament, and Peyton Pratt had three goals and one assist for the tournament. The total team played fantastic, earning two impressive shutouts.

With two solid victories against the #8 and #4 Nationally ranked teams, Delta hopes this will secure their #1 seed in the National Tournament.

Coach's Comments:
Coach Damon Amey was extremely pleased with these victories, and another trip to the National Tournament. The team has worked very hard this season, and these victories are a great reflection of their continual progress.
Adjustments for the next Game:
We will focus on combination play, as well as a coordinated movement out of our defensive third. The Pioneers will be traveling to Gastonia NC on Sunday the 5th for the National Tournament. The Pioneers currently have a #1 National ranking.
