Delta Women’s Soccer Honored with 2024 National Coach and Staff of the Year Award

Delta College Women's Soccer achieved national recognition as the program was named the 2024 National Coach and Staff of the Year for Junior College Division III. Announced on December 12, 2024, this prestigious honor reflects the exceptional leadership and performance demonstrated by Head Coach Damon Amey and Assistant Coach Elizabeth Green during a historic season for the Pioneers.

A Season of Excellence

Under the guidance of Coach Amey and Coach Green, the Pioneers delivered a flawless season, finishing with an undefeated record of 15-0. Their dominance culminated in late November when the team secured the Junior College Division III National Championship, a testament to their skill, preparation, and determination.

The team's offensive prowess was a defining feature of their success, as they scored an astounding 88 goals over the season. Leading the charge was standout forward Isabella Workman, who netted 16 goals, cementing her status as the team's top scorer. The Pioneers also recorded 16 assists and a .246 shot percentage, further underscoring their efficiency and teamwork on the field.

On January 11, 2025, the Pioneers' coaching staff received their award during a prestigious ceremony in Chicago, IL. Coach Amey was joined by standout players Isabella Workman and Kendall Jackson, both of whom were named to the 2024 Junior College Division III All-American Team. Their inclusion on this elite roster of athletes highlights their significant contributions to the team's success and solidifies their place among the best in the nation.
