Bio

Dr. Brian Purchase is a highly experienced and dedicated medical professional with dual board certifications in Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine.  He is a 1994 graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  With a career spanning over two decades, he has served the Saginaw, Michigan community through his roles at Covenant HealthCare and Covenant Sports Medicine, which he founded. He has an impressive background, having completed a residency in emergency medicine in Pontiac, Michigan and later a fellowship in sports medicine at Wright State University and the Kettering Sports Medicine Center in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Purchase is a dedicated athlete, having completed over 80 endurance events, including multiple half-Ironman and Ironman races.  He has provided medical support for multiple running and triathlon events including high-profile events like the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

His work with athletes, including his role as a team physician for Saginaw Valley State University, highlights his commitment to sports medicine and his active involvement in the community. In his personal life, Dr. Purchase is married with two sons, balancing a fulfilling family life with his professional and athletic pursuits.
