Bears take two at home vs Pioneers

FLINT, Mich. - The Mott Community College baseball team stepped outside of the MCCAA Eastern Division to take on Delta College in a doubleheader on Tuesday at home. 

The Bears cruised in both contests, taking game one 12-4 and the finale 11-3. The sweep moves Mott to 19-15 overall on the season. 

Game One Highlights: 

• Quinn Schultz went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run scored, and four RBIs.

• Luke Ellis added two hits, including a double, scored a run and drove in three. 

• Benjamin Korson recorded two hits, a double, and a run scored. 

• Cody Bartlett (1-0) got the win in relief, tossing three innings, allowing one run on three hits, walking three and striking out four. 

Game Two Highlights:

• Ethan Wills was 2-for-3 at the plate, with a double, and two runs scored. 

• Tobias Ransley added two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.

• Nathan Deleruyelle finished with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.

• Dillon Kielian (2-0) tossed 3.2 innings, allowing two runs on six hits, walking two and striking out two, while earning the win. 

• Andrew Van Akin tossed two scoreless innings in relief, striking out two.

The Bears hit the road for a doubleheader against St. Clair County Community College starting at 2 pm on Thursday.
