The Lakeland women's soccer team played host to the Delta State Pioneers today at Laker Field and dropped a 5-0 decision. The injury depleted Lakers battled the Pioneers; however, Delta State used a consistent effort to rally against the Lakers. Delta is currently ranked #1 by the Division 3 NJCAA Committee. Lillyan Agostine was credited with 11 saves.

Lakeland players of the game are Carli Salatino, Shelby Nagy, Lila Malkamaki, and Lillyan Agostine.

Mallon's Mentions: "We played pretty well as we reverted back to our regular defensive alignment. We were very pleased with the effort of our players. They had a great attitude and defended well. We also connected on 178 passes. Tip your cap to the Pioneers as they are a very good team."

Next  Up: The Lakers will travel to Toledo, OH to take on the Owens Express on Tuesday, 10/17. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm.
