Softball Sweeps Delta at Home

Andrea Romero went 3-for-3 as Muskegon CC Jayhawks cruised past Delta-University Center, MI, 14-6. Romero doubled in the third and singled in the second and fourth as part of Muskegon's strong offensive showing.

Muskegon CC built an early lead with key hits from Olive Staal, Kaylee Jones, and Kennedy Johnson. A six-run fourth inning, highlighted by hits from Delaney Vollmer, Grace Lewis, and Romero, sealed the win.

Vollmer earned the win, allowing six runs (four earned) over five innings. Muskegon CC totaled 10 hits and three stolen bases, while Delta's #24 led their offense with two RBIs.

The Jayhawks are now 8-6. 

Olive Staal led the Muskegon CC Jayhawks past Delta-University Center, MI, 13-12, driving in four runs on three hits, including a first-inning home run and a sixth-inning double. The teams combined for 29 hits in the high-scoring game.

Muskegon CC surged ahead with a five-run second inning, but Delta responded with six runs in the third, briefly taking the lead. The game remained tight, with multiple lead changes before Staal's RBI double in the sixth secured the win.

Grace Lewis earned the win, striking out eight over four innings. Muskegon CC racked up 16 hits and five stolen bases, while Delta collected 13 hits, with #10 and #24 each driving in three runs.

The Jayhawks are now 9-6. The Jayhawks head to Ohio to face off against Bay College, Delta College, Mid Michigan, Alpena College, and Grand Rapids Community College throughout the weekend.
