Delta College falls to #18 Mott Community College

In a highly anticipated basketball matchup between Delta College and Mott Community College, Mott emerged victorious with a 101-67 win.

Mott Community College outscored Delta College 43-36 in the first half. Mott pulled away in the second half by scoring 58 points compared to Delta College's 31.

Although Delta College faced a tough defeat, several players displayed commendable performances. Jamahl Trice was the team's leading scorer with 17 points, shooting 5-17 from the field. Trice also showcased his three-point shooting abilities, making 3 out of 9 attempts. Brendon Schlink and Ja'Vion Blackwell contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively, displaying their offensive skills.

Mott Community College's cohesive teamwork and offensive efficiency ultimately secured their victory. The team's impressive shooting percentages, with a 51.4% field goal percentage and a remarkable 53.3% three-point percentage, were key factors in their success.

Delta College men's basketball looks to rebound after the New Year. They will be back in action on January 6th as they travel to Schoolcraft College.
