Bio

Vincent Turner will be entering his first season with the Pioneer Men’s Basketball program. Turner is a native of Detroit, MI. He graduated from Martin Luther King High School and went on to play college basketball at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. After his playing career, Turner helped with the Midnight basketball program in Detroit to get troubled youth off the streets. Here is where he found his calling. Turner has 20 years of coaching experience on all levels starting with Fredrick Douglas, then became an assistant at Wayne County Community College. Following Wayne, Turner became Head Coach at University of Michigan Dearborn then continued on to Northwest High School in Tennessee before returning home to Michigan. 

Turner is married to Heather Turner and has 3 beautiful children India, Jazmin and Tyee Turner, as well as two grandchildren Tobias and Riley. Turner is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
