Softball Signs Five Incoming Freshman for 2019-2020 Season
On November 6th Delta College Softball signed five incoming freshman for the 2019-2020 season.
Ashyln Dantzer is from Ogemaw Heights, Michigan and has a GPA of 3.4
Her long term goal is to be a probation officer and study criminal justice.
She plays shortstop and catcher on her Varsity team and batted .424 as a Jr and was awarded MVP.
Avery Nowosad is from Cheboygan, Michigan and has a GPA of 2.5.
She plans on majoring in Dental Hygiene.
She plays both infield and outfield to include catcher. She batted .465 her Jr year and has been awarded with All Conference, All District and Offensive Player of the year awards plus named as an All Area 2018 Team Member.
Brianna Freehling is from Au Gres, Michigan and has a GPA of 3.3.
She plans on majoring in the Dental Field.
She plays both outfield and infield to include catcher. She batted .323 her Jr year and has been awarded with the 2018 All Region Team, NSL First Team All-League and also All District.
Kylee Corlew is a pitcher from Birch Run, Michigan. Her GPA is 4.06 and ranks 10th in her class of 148 students. Her long-term goal is to become an Elementary School Teacher.
This past season she had a .640 batting average and hit 15 home runs. As a secondary position, she play 1st base. She was awarded honorable mention in the Tri-Valley Conference, as well as All-District Pitcher her Jr year.
MacKenzie Miller is from Coleman, Michigan and her GPA is a 4.0
Her long term goal is to study chemical engineering and become a chemical engineer.
She plays second base as well as in the outfield. During her Jr year she batted .394 and was awarded Academic All State, 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All District.
