March 28, 2025 – Sports Force Park
Delta College started the weekend by defeating Alpena Community College 11-3 in a dominant performance. The Pioneers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning and continued to build on that momentum throughout the game. Jolie Buschlen led the charge with three hits and four RBIs, while Hannah Hycki contributed with a pair of hits and two runs. Geena Gauthier earned the win, pitching a complete game with nine strikeouts and allowing just two earned runs. Despite a home run from Alpena's Sydney Hiltzelberger, the Pioneers' offense proved too much for the Lumberjacks to overcome.
Delta College battled in a back-and-forth matchup against Muskegon Community College but fell just short in a 10-9 loss. The Pioneers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before Muskegon answered with five runs in the first inning. Delta responded with a five-run fourth inning, powered by a grand slam from Kortney Kotenko, to take a 9-5 lead. However, Muskegon rallied late, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to claim the victory. Izabel Lathrom led the Pioneers with a four-hit performance, while Katie Chinavare added three hits and an RBI. Despite the loss, Delta's offense produced 14 hits, showcasing a strong offensive effort.
March 29, 2025 – Sports Force Park
Delta College's offense exploded in a dominant 17-5 victory over Bay College. The Pioneers set the tone early with a six-run first inning and never looked back, tallying 17 runs on just two hits thanks to patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning. Hannah Hycki led the charge with two hits and two RBIs, while Cadence Swartz contributed three RBIs of her own. Delta capitalized on 12 walks and stole multiple bases, with Alicia Candelaria swiping four bags. Swartz also earned the win in the circle, allowing just four earned runs over four innings. The Pioneers' strong all-around performance secured a decisive win to open the day.
Delta College struggled offensively in a tough 3-0 loss to Grand Rapids Community College. The Pioneers managed just two hits against GRCC ace Kalani Stowe, who struck out 12 in a complete-game shutout. Hannah Hycki provided the lone offensive spark with a double, but Delta was unable to capitalize on limited opportunities. Pitcher Geena Gauthier turned in a solid outing, allowing just three hits and two earned runs over six innings while striking out five. Despite her strong effort, Delta couldn't overcome GRCC's early scoring, as the Raiders plated a run in the first and added two more in the fourth to secure the win.
March 30, 2025 – Sports Force Park
Delta College fell to Mid Michigan College 6-2, after a late-inning surge by the Lakers. The Pioneers held a 1-0 lead through three innings thanks to an RBI sac fly from Izabel Lathrom, but Mid Michigan responded with two runs in the fourth. Delta tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth after an RBI single from Alicia Candelaria, but a four-run seventh inning by Mid Michigan proved to be the difference.
Pitcher Geena Gauthier went the distance for Delta, allowing six runs on nine hits while striking out three. The Pioneers struggled offensively, managing just five hits off Mid Michigan's Tessa Cameron, who pitched a complete game with six strikeouts. Despite a solid effort, Delta couldn't overcome Mid Michigan's late offensive push, dropping another close contest.
