Delta College women could not overcome a 25 point deficit as they lose 82-76 to Mid Michigan at Morey Courts on Saturday. The Pioneers turned the ball over 16 times in the first half and were down by as many as 25 points before making a late 2nd quarter rally to close the gap to just 5 points (36-31). Their rally continued early into the third quarter as they knotted the score at 41 all. However, the game went back to the host as they fallied to post a 22-17 edge in the third quarter. Despite outscoring the Lakers in the final stanza (28-24), the Lady Pioneers fell short as they dropped to 2-3 on the season. Marisa Morton led the Lady Pioneers with 17 points follwed by Carlee Hutchison's 14. Kennedi Maurer and Kate Engelhardt each contributed 11 points. Jennifer Grinwis pulled down 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
