Delta College Falls to Bay College in District Quarterfinals

Delta College's season came to an end on Tuesday night as they fell to Bay College in the NJCAA District Quarterfinals, 101-38. The Pioneers struggled offensively against a dominant Bay College defense, shooting just 20% from the field and 6.7% from three-point range.
Bay College set the tone early, jumping out to a 28-10 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. The Norse continued to apply pressure throughout, outscoring Delta in every quarter and forcing 32 turnovers.
Despite the tough loss, Delta saw standout efforts from Hailee Jefferson, who finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds, and Amari'A Campbell, who contributed 6 points and 7 boards. Carah McCrum also added 6 points and 6 rebounds.
For Bay College, Anna Axtell led the way with 23 points, including four three-pointers, while Kennedy Sproule added 20 points, knocking down six shots from beyond the arc. Mckenzie Hoffmeyer provided a strong presence off the bench with 18 points.
Despite a tough season, the Pioneers showed resilience and fight throughout the year, growing as a unit under head coach Jason Brown. With a young core gaining valuable experience, Delta looks to regroup and build toward a stronger campaign next season.
Bay College advances to the District Semifinals, where they will continue their postseason run later this week.
