Bio

Blair Wright is a Bridgeport, MI native, growing up in the Saginaw area. Soccer has always been a major passion of Blair’s, playing for Michigan Hawks throughout her youth years as well as in college. After graduating from Birch Run High School in 2021, Blair was offered and signed to play collegiate soccer at Trine University, an NCAA DIII school located in Angola, Indiana. While playing for the Thunder, Blair was a captain and helped her team to their most successful season in school history, playing in two conference championships as well as making the NCAA tournament. After her senior season, her class was deemed the most successful group to come through the program, only losing 5 games at home in their four years.

At Trine, Blair was a three-year student intern in the university’s athletic department, as well as a two-year intern for the women’s lacrosse team as a student assistant coach, where they appeared in two conference championships as well. Upon graduation, Blair was awarded the “Ketner School of Business Excellence in Sport Management Award,” which is an award given to an individual within the program by the university’s professors. After graduating this past May, she received both her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Sport Management and a minor in coaching, as well as her master’s in Business Administration. In my free time, I also coach a U14 Girls DCFC North Team.

“My mindset has always been to never waste an opportunity you get in life and to love what you do. This type of mindset has allowed me to be present, as well as value growth throughout my life as a person, athlete, and friend. I’m someone who genuinely loves learning new things and trying new experiences, and I think Delta will provide me this opportunity!”

“I think that I am most excited to work with the girls, as well as Coach Damon Amey, as he has created such a successful program here and has provided me with an unbelievable opportunity to help the program.”

“I believe my past experiences being a student-athlete for four years will allow me to create deeper understandings with the players, being able to understand how they feel both on and off the field, with the pressures that may come both academically and athletically.”

In Blair Wright's past as a former Division III NCAA soccer player, she has accumulated some outstanding achievements. At Trine University on the Women’s Soccer team, she was a captain her senior year. She played in 70 games and started in 35 games. She also helped her team to make one Division III NCAA tournament and two MIAA Championships, being runner-up in both the 2021 and 2022 appearances.
