Bio

Angie Compton is a seasoned coach with over 18 years of experience coaching various sports, including volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. A Michigan native, Compton has led successful volleyball programs across the state, including Reese High School, where she secured a state championship in women’s volleyball in 2021 and was recognized as Michigan’s Coach of the Year.

 
In her first season with Delta College, Compton guided the women's volleyball team to a 7th-place finish at the national tournament, showcasing her ability to adapt quickly and lead. 
 
In addition to her coaching career, Compton serves as a full-time Social Studies and Physical Education teacher at Birch Run Area Schools, where she has taught since 2006, contributing over 17 years to the education field.
 

Compton’s dedication to the sport and her players, combined with her passion for education and community involvement, continues to shape Delta College’s volleyball program into into a respected and competitive force in the MCCAA
