Nicole Sanford Named Athletic Specialist
University Center, MI – Sanford, a former student of Delta College and volunteer of the Delta College Athletic Department, has been named the Athletic Specialist, Director of Athletics Andrew Wingard announced today.
With a strong background in early childhood education and physical education, Nicole has demonstrated her commitment to academic and athletic development. Nicole's experience in both administrative and teaching roles has equipped her with valuable skills that make her the perfect fit for Delta College Athletics.
"Nicole has been volunteering with the athletic department for over 10 years," said Delta College Director of Athletics Andrew Wingard. "Nicole is a vital member of the Pioneer Family. We are lucky to have her join the department in this capacity."
"I am elated to accept the Athletic Specialist position at Delta College in the Athletic Department," said Sanford. "As the Athletic Specialist I look forward to continuing to build relationships with student-athletes, faculty, and staff. I will strive to continue to make Delta College Athletics a top choice for student-athletes to continue their careers both academically and athletically. I am excited to see the growth and impact that Delta College Athletics can have in the Great Lakes Bay Region," Sanford added.
Sanford completed her Early Childhood Education/Physical Education degree at Saginaw Valley State University in December 2013. Prior to that, she obtained an Associate of Arts degree from Delta College in May 2011.
