Fryzel and Stodolak Earn All-League Honors
The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) announced its 2023 Softball Awards on Wednesday, May 31st following the completion of another memorable season on the diamond. The awards were voted on by the conference softball coaches.
University Center, MI – The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) announced its 2023 Softball Awards Wednesday (May 31) following the completion of another memorable season on the diamond. The awards were voted on by the conference softball coaches.
Delta College pitcher Lakin Fryzel and outfielder Taylor Stodolak were named 2023 NJCAA DIVISION III REGION XII ALL-REGION TEAM, 2023 All-MCCAA Team, and 2023 MCCAA FIRST TEAM ALL-NORTHERN CONFERENCE.
Fryzel, finished the year with a record of 15-5, an ERA of 2.29, 174 innings pitched, 249 strikeouts, and 44 walks.
Stodolak, finished the year with a .382 batting average, 42 runs scored, 52 hits, 4 doubles, 4 triples, 2 home runs, and 18 stolen bases.
The Pioneers had a very successful season under first year head coach, Jeremy Hartwick. The Pioneers fell short in the District Championship game against Joliet Junior College.
