Delta Soccer Welcomes in a Wave of New Recruits

After the most successful year in the history of the Delta program, the Lady Pioneers are stocking the team full of talent once again to make another run to Nationals in the fall. Delta is welcoming 10 incoming freshman to the squad who will look to make an impact in year 1.

Amber Kolean (Allendale)

• Awards: All star team player award
• Why Delta? I chose to go to delta because I like the family like atmosphere. When I went for a visit all the staff members were focused on the good of the student and what can benefit them. A few things that interested me about Deltas soccer team was the coaches and how they really care about their players. Also, the girls on the team have been welcoming from the very beginning and I'm excited to create relationships with each and everyone of them.
• Player Profile: Keeper that is tall and strong, great person that is going to be great addition

Ariana Irish (Birch Run)

• Awards: 1st team all conference, HM All State
• Why Delta? I chose delta because it looks like a good program that's fits me and I see that they have very successful seasons and I want to be a part of that. They also are an affordable school and have what I want to go for
• Player Profile: Strong fast defender that works very hard

Kayelyn Goodrich (Cadillac)

• Why Delta? I chose to attend Delta College because I could see myself furthering my academic and athletic career here. I love the campus, I knew I wanted to attend a small school and Delta fit everything I wanted. 
• Player Profile: Very fast defender that works extremely hard.

Millie Randall (Mount Pleasant)

• Awards: all district team, saginaw valley league second team
• Why Delta? I love the campus and had the opportunity to play the sport I love there. When I saw the team play I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. 
• Player Profile: Strong aggressive CM that controls play and distributes well

Makenna Fluder (Heritage)

• Awards: World Changer award, All Conference SVL 2years, National Honor society, All academic Svl 2yrs,  Will receive Presidential honor scholarship at Delta
• Why Delta? Financially smart, academically great. Also get to play soccer for a one of the top soccer teams in the state
• Player Profile: Very strong holding mid that has great soccer smarts

Kaylee Meissner (Bullock Creek)

• Awards: All Conference, All District, All State Honorable Mention, All Team Academic, and All Regional 
• Why Delta? I chose Delta because its a school close to home, its affordable, a great soccer program, and I thought it was good place to start my freshman year of college. 
• Player Profile: Center mid that is Very smart on the ball, fast and distributes very well

Zoee Robbins (Montrose)

• Awards: 1st team all GAC
• Why Delta? I chose Delta so that I am able to continue to play the sport that I love at a quality college that is fairly inexpensive while remaining close to home. 
• Player Profile: Tall fast Center defender that is great in the air

Hannah Emmington (Cadillac)

• Awards: All Conference 1st Team, All District Team, Assist record at Cadillac High School. 
• Why Delta? I chose Delta because choosing a community college was the smartest option for my career path, and I also wanted to continue playing soccer and Delta has a great soccer program, team and coaches.
• Player Profile: Very fast oustide mid that has a high work rate and if very skilled on the ball

Haleigh Amthor (Bay City Western)

• Why Delta? Delta is close to home and affordable for my family.
• Player Profile: Very fast outside mid that works hard on both ends of field

Hunter Kukla (Bay City John Glenn)

• Awards: Varsity 4yrs, capt2yrs,  2015 Bay county dream team/ 2016 Bay county dream team/all district team/ Bay county scoring leader 2016
• Why Delta? Delta was the right choice for me because it's close to home. I can increase my education while perusing my passion in soccer throughout college which will lead to new relationships along the way. 
• Player Profile: Very fast forward that is good with 1v1 situations and has a knack for scoring goals
