Delta College Women's Soccer vs Cincinnati State Community College
Delta College women's soccer team extended its winning streak to 6 games in a row as they defeated Cincinnati State by a 10-1 margin. Casey Allessie scored one of her three goals less than three minutes into the game. Skylar Eckert also contributed three goals in the lopsided win. Coach Paul Stenglein noted that his team is 'playing quite well right now, we seem to be ready for the hugh game we have coming up against Jackson -- this game may determine who will be the MCCAA Champions.' Coach Stenglein added, 'I feel that the team is getting more creative offensively and more powerful defensively. We have worked very hard to develop a very deep team and that allows us to be competitive for a full 90 minutes of every game.' The game with Jackson will take place on Wednesday, October 3rd at Delta College.
At the present time, Delta is rated number 5 in the latest NJCAA National poll with a record of 5-1-0 in Conference play and 6-1-0 overall. A win over Jackson would put the Pioneers in the driver's seat with the conference season slow coming to an end.
