Coach's Comments:
Coach Damon Amey was pleased with the effort of the team today. We have been working on individual and team defending, and our smothering defensive pressure today was very disruptive for Muskegon. After adjustments at halftime, we used offensive combination play to get the four additional goals in the second half. This was definitely an important win within conference play. This win helps us with our chances of another Conference Title this year.
Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will continue to work on offensive creativity, accurate passing, and the ability to play a controlled combination game in the final attacking third of the field. We will continue to focus on finishing versus shooting and looking for our best attacking options. Working on team defending, with maintaining proper depth and width, will be critical throughout this season. We will stay the course in our training sessions, and continue to focus on individual ball skills as well as tactical team ball movement. The Pioneers will be traveling to Muskegon on Saturday the 26th. The Pioneers currently have a #4 National ranking.
