Pioneers Defeat Lake Michigan
Game Outcome:
Delta College hosted conference rival Lake Michigan Community College for an important league game. The Pioneers came out strong and scored their first goal when Macy Kammer received a through ball from Anna Sabo at just 28 seconds into the game. Delta would score 9 additional goals to earn them an important 10-0 victory. This win brings Delta's record to 8-0-0 in the conference and 9-0-0 overall, which keeps them in first place in the MCCAA.
Standout Players of the Game:
The two goals and one assist by Rhianna Schermerhorn, helped lead the Pioneers to secure a very important victory. Kaylee Shattuck and Peyton Pratt each scored two goals for Delta. The whole team played excellent defense to earn another shutout.

Three goals in the first five minutes of the game set the stage for an impressive performance by the Pioneers. This win allowed the Pioneers to maintain a 1 game lead in the MCCAA standings.

Coach Damon Amey was pleased with this important win. With this victory today, we head into the second half of the season in a good position in the conference.
Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will continue to work on offensive creativity, accurate passing, and the ability to play a controlled combination game in the final attacking third of the field. The Pioneers will be at Terra St. on Saturday the 16th. The Pioneers currently have a #3 National ranking.
