WOMEN'S SOCCER DOWNS ST. CLAIR, 6-0
Game Outcome:
Delta College hosted SC4 for a critical conference matchup. Delta scored their game winning goal in the 17th minute of the game when Grace Sczepanski sent a deep cross to Rhianna Schermerhorn who powered it past the SC4 Keeper. The Pioneers would take a slim 1-0 lead into halftime. They would score five more goals in the second half to earn a 6-0 shutout victory. This win brings Delta's record to 12-0-0 in the conference and 14-0-0 overall, which keeps them in first place in the MCCAA.
Standout Players of the Game:
One goal and two assists by Kaylee Shattuck led the Pioneers to a crucial conference victory. Emily Bucholtz finished the scoring for the day with a great header at the far post served by Shattuck.
Highlights from the game:
The game was kept very tight until the 71st minute of the game when the Pioneers scored their second goal of the game. Delta would then proceed to score four additional goals in a 6-minute period to end the game. The Pioneers remain in a one game lead in the MCCAA standings.

Coach's Comments:
Coach Damon Amey was very impressed by how the team never panicked when they were not able to score. Their poise and persistence paid off with five second half goals. We are focused to keep working hard enough to continue to play at this high level.
Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will continue to work on offensive creativity, accurate passing, and the ability to play a controlled combination game in the final attacking third of the field. The Pioneers will be traveling to SC4 on Saturday the 30th. The Pioneers currently have a #3 National ranking.
