PIONEERS IMPROVE TO 3-0
Game Outcome:
Delta College traveled to Muskegon for another critical match up that certainly had conference title ramifications. Both teams played physical and aggressive to try to get the first goal. The game went back and forth in the midfield in the start of the game, however in the 25th minute, Delta got that critical first goal. Delta was able to add another goal in the second half to give them a 2-0 lead. One minute later, Muskegon sent a ball over Tristen Cross to score in the upper far post corner of the goal. This win brings Delta's record to 3-0-0 in the conference and 3-0-0 overall, which keeps them in first place in the MCCAA.
Standout Players of the Game:
The whole team did an excellent job matching the intensity with a very hard working Muskegon team. Kaylee Shattuck scored her first goal of the season, which ended up being the game winner. Peyton Pratt had her 5th goal of the season, Macy Kammer and Alexis Martinez each had an assist.
Highlights from the Game:
The intensity of play from both teams made for a very entertaining game that was certainly stressful for the coaching staffs. The Muskegon keeper continued to have numerous quality saves to keep them in the game. The Pioneers defense was excellent in continually turning back dangerous long ball attacks today.

Coach's Comments:
Coach Damon Amey was pleased with the effort and intensity of the team today. We learned a lot from this game today, and we saw weaknesses that were exposed that we can improve on. This was an important win today, and we picked 3 more critical points. This quality win helps us as we fight for another Conference Title this year.
Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will work on areas of the game that will allow them to take their game to the next level. We will continue to stay the course in our training sessions, and continue to focus on individual ball skills as well as tactical team ball movement. The Pioneers will be hosting Kellogg on Tuesday the 29th. The Pioneers currently have a #4 National ranking.
